Meet Ashleigh Castellan

Hi, I’m Ashleigh Castellan, and I started Snuffle Paws Academy from a lifelong love of dogs and a passion for making a positive difference in their lives.

After experiencing the special bond between dogs and humans, I knew I wanted to help others nurture that connection. I’m a qualified trainer through the National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF), and I’ve trained assistance dogs with Dogs for Life.

My training approach is built on trust, clear communication, and meeting each dog where they’re at. Whether it’s lead walking, improving behaviour at home, or building confidence, I focus on helping dogs and their families grow together.

Alongside training, I offer enriching Doggy Adventures to keep pups active, stimulated, and exploring new places. I also provide drop-in pet care, giving owners peace of mind when life gets busy.

Snuffle Paws is a place where dogs are understood, supported, and celebrated—and I’m here to walk alongside you on every step of the journey.

Meet Helen Hassing

Hi, I’m Helen Hassing
I’m a certified dog trainer through the National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF), with over 30 years of experience working with dogs, horses, and livestock. My journey has been shaped by a deep respect for animals and a love for helping people build strong, trusting relationships with their pets.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Dogs for Life, training assistance dogs to support individuals in need—a truly rewarding part of my career. At home, I share my life with working-line German Shepherds, a Border Collie, and horses, so I understand the needs of high-energy, intelligent animals firsthand.

My training style is practical, calm, and tailored to each dog and family. I believe in clear communication, consistency, and finding what truly motivates each dog to succeed. I’m passionate about helping both pets and their people thrive.
